CAPSA Endowment
At CAPSA, we understand the critical need for sustained and reliable funding to ensure that our life-saving programs can continue to aid those affected by abuse without interruption. This is why we emphasize the importance of endowments.
What is an Endowment?
An endowment represents a promise of perpetual support. While the principal amount is kept intact, the interest/dividends are used to fund CAPSA’s programs. This consistent and reliable source of funding is vital for our ability to provide consistent services.
The Importance of Building Our Endowment
Our dependence on competitive grants which require reapplying every one to two years offers no promise of renewal means that the future of any programs is never guaranteed. When a grant is not renewed, the impact is immediate and severe: valuable programs may be cut, and dedicated staff may lose their positions, directly affecting the survivors we serve.
Our Vision for CAPSA’s Endowment
We aim to build an endowment that can secure 15% of our total operating revenue which is currently $600,000. The endowment would allow CAPSA to maintain and grow our critical programs, cover essential business operations, and ensure that our support for survivors remains unwavering.
